Police Seek Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident

He says the driver of the Tahoe did not stop. Witnesses said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Gentile says the victim, identified as 25-year-old Elliot Williams of D.C., was taken to Howard University Hospital and pronounced dead.
Police say the Chevrolet had unknown New York tags.

do they have atleast a partial tag #?? how are we certain that it was indeed new york? my kids love the tag game and it's something that they are immediately drawn to.
