This is as blantant and as stupid an action against ANSWER.org as I can think of. It equals some of the stupidity that preceeded the disaster at Kent State years ago. I was there I can see where the growing anger in this country is leading. Fenty and his administration have just lost all my respect. The only good thing I can see is the free publicity that the idiots has engendered.

metintodd First thing we live in a republic, you know "the republic for which it stands" Second this is not a first amendment issue. this is a defacing of government or private property issue. Diplomat said it best, post it on your own property

Eboy, are you on the Bush payroll? Whatever happened to free speech? The US has turned into what Russia once was before our very eyes. A democracy is a great thing, I hope the US manages to try it one of these years.

SpareMe, it just goes to show you that Black American leadership doesn't give a hoot to the Black Americans they supposedly represent. They get in office and the most public service work they do is run their mouths and collect a paycheck. They know they can do this and get away with it because know one has the guts to hold them accountable for their service, or lack of service, to the people.

SOLUTION: Post your signs inside of your car.

You know philly you sound like the typical repub. Just call people names like commie. But it really is something the deserting coward wants done so more people don't think about this illegal war he got us into with LIES! There never was a connection to the WTC attacks but I can't say there wasn't a connection from the traitors in the White House. Stalemating the investigation of the attack and then putting a time limit on it. This should have had as much investigation as the Pearl Harbor attack but then they would have found out about the expolsives set inside that the engineers heard. But they wouldn't let them testify about that because it would have led to more incriminating evidence against the traitors dubya and Cheney. This is sjust a way for them to line their pockets from the kick backs while others die. You know neither of these cowards had the nerve to serve. And the military industrial complex is making plenty asa long as they pay the deserting coward and the draft dodger. Like the guy who has the kits to make the hummers and other vehicles safer from IEDs but since he won't pay the bribe money they won't let him ship these life saving parts to our troops. You must be a multi-millionaire philly to support these two and you must be getting those huge tax breaks while the average tax payer has to carry you and the other millionaires that give these traiotrs money so their kids don't have to be killed in Iraq. Why aren't the deserting cowards kids and the draft dodgers kids in Iraq?

Ok I am a DC native...33 yrs now. The crazy thing is..when DC was 95% African American the garbage lining the walls didn't make the government any difference. Now that the caucasians are attempting to take DC back...it is an issue. It should have been an issues all the while.

nd kept congress going .. as for the other question here .. would conservatives being fighting "urban trash" if the signs were in favor of the war and the DC guv-mint wanted them down ??

VaLady-- I'm from the Vietnam War era also. Perhaps if those antiwar posters had stayed up several more years they would have served as a reminder to the current incompetents not to get the country into another inane war.

Um, VaLady, it is Democrat controlled Congress that "decamps" for extended periods in the summer.
