Off-Duty D.C. Firefighter Carjacked and Shot in Northeast

D.C. police are investigating a carjacking and shooting that seriously wounded an off-duty D.C. firefighter.
It happened around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of G Street, Northeast.
The fireman was shot and rushed to an area hospital.
He was later released.
Police say they have since recovered the victim's 2007 Chevy Avalanche on the 1400 block of Saratoga Avenue, Northeast.
Police are still searching for the carjacker.
