Investigators believe the two men forced their way into apartment 410 of The Pershing House in the 3,700 block of 16th Street, Northwest, about 11 p.m. Monday. Inside there was a struggle. Neighbors heard gunshots. When police arrived, they found Samuel Garcia-Donis dead from a gunshot wound to the head. On Tuesday, June 20th, police responded to a similar robbery call one block away, in the 3,600 block of 16th Street, Northwest.
The suspects are described as two black men in their late teens or early twenties, between 5'10" to 6' tall. One of the suspects has dreadlocks. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099. There is a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
