Fairfax County Firefighters were called to a fire in a single family home in Springfield Wednesday evening.
Emergency crews arrived on the 6800 block of Kite Flyer Court around 5 p.m. Wednesday and battled the blaze that had spread throughout the first floor of the two story home.
Investigators believed the fire started in the laundry room because of a faulty light fixture and placed the damage at $150,000.
Crews were then called back to the home around 1:50 a.m. Thursday morning, after another fire occurred on the roof of the home.
Firefighters say the fire had sparked up again in the laundry room leaving an extra $50,000 worth of damage.
No one from the family of three living in the home suffered any injuries.
